In 1962, Seattle established itself as a global focal point, hosting a world’s fair driven by the space age – ultimately creating a physical legacy: Seattle Center. As we approach the 50th anniversary of the fair, there is cause for celebration and contemplation, as our region faces an entirely new set of priorities, challenges and opportunities. Today, the question is about the social and intellectual capital that feed our region’s –and the world’s – creative energy.

The idea of this workshop has been developed by the Trade and Investment Section in consultations with the Ministry of Economy, Polish American Congress and Polish Chamber of Commerce as well as the leaders of Polish American business community throughout the United States. Renewed interest in trade and international investment on both sides of the Atlantic has provided us with new opportunities. However, to be able to take advantage of these developments and fully explore them on an institutional and business level, more collaboration between parties is required and necessary. Better communication on new and emerging opportunities is one of the key issues, that could yield concrete benefits for both economies such as increased trade volume, US SMEs’ investments in Poland, and a growing number of Polish companies establishing their foothold on the American soil.
Goal:
To discuss opportunities stemming from enhanced collaboration and exchange of information between PAC/PNA, KIG and the T&I Section on the organizers’ side and Polish-American Chambers, Honorary Consuls of Poland, and other organizations actively involved in promoting business relations between Poland and the US. We believe it will lead to increased scope and reach of promotion of Poland-US economic relations, and business prospects particularly offered for smaller, family-owned companies on both sides of the Atlantic.
