Poland –US business relationships continue to grow, opening up new opportunities, particularly in the areas of aviation and high tech industries. This program will explore Trade and Business Development landscape and showcase why Poland is an attractive partner in strategic areas of investment. Representatives from special economic zone created in Eastern Poland will introduce key industries emerging in their region, particularly those related to Aviation and High Tech industries. The program will include 45 minutes of presentations, followed by Q&A and discussion. A reception and networking will follow. Representatives will also be available for Business-to-Business meetings.
Greg Nickels, 51st Mayor of the City of Seattle from January 1, 2002 through December 31, 2009 and a member of the King County Council for 14 years (1988 – 2001). Currently, Former Mayor Nickels chairs US Conference of Mayors advisory committee and also sits on the board of trustees and is a former chair of its transportation committee. He is also Vice President of the National Conference of Democratic Mayors. Pawel Pietrasienski, Head of the Trade and Investment Promotion Section of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Washington, DC.; Doctor of Economics; Assistant Professor in the Department of Market and Marketing of the Warsaw School of Economics; former Deputy Consul General and Consul of the Republic of Poland in Chicago; Advisor and then Counselor to the Prime Minister of the Departments of Foreign Affairs and Civil Service, in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister of Poland; member of the Board of Governors in the European Institute of Public Administration in Maastricht; Polish Representative to the Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Public Governance Committee in Paris.
Bozena Czaja, Vice President and Member of the Management Board (Finances, Logistics and Regional Development) of Polish Information & Foreign Investment Agency in Warsaw, Poland. She previously held assistant positions at ministerial and executive levels in Poland, as well as those at consular representative level abroad. Graduate of University of Warsaw.
