Minister of Foreign Affairs Witold Waszczykowski visits Seattle on September 22, 2016

During his one day visit to Seattle, Minister WitoldWaszczykowski met with business leaders, politicians and Polish community. The strengthening of economic and political ties between Poland and the United States was the main topic of a visit to Seattle by the chief of Polish diplomacy. In a meeting with the Mayor of Seattle Ed Murray, Minister WitoldWaszczykowski noted that security and the economy are top priorities of bilateral relations.

Minister Waszczykowski met with representatives from Microsoft and Boeing and their Polish employees. He also participated in a business luncheon hosted by the Polish-American Chamber of Commerce Pacific Northwest at the World Trade Center in Seattle. At a meeting with Polish community members hosted by the Polish Home Association in Seattle, the foreign minister stressed that maintaining close ties with Poles living abroad continues to be a priority for Polish diplomacy. At the same time, he underscored that economic cooperation is another major objective of collaboration with the Polish diaspora, emphasizing that Seattle and Pacific Northwest play an important role in the economic relations with Poland.
